Poland: mobile TV ready to start

Poland is in the starting blocks for mobile TV. The first DVB-H service has been introduced. According to reports in the Gazeta Prawna newspaper the service, which is operated by Info-TV-FM, is expected to start up with 13 TV channels and four radio stations.

Initial trials took place in Warsaw. The mobile TV service should be available in ten large cities by the end of 2009. It is, however, not yet clear who will market suitable mobile end devices, something which is bound to be sorted out very soon.
